How do I transfer e-mail accounts from one web hosting account to another?

Migration from an external web hosting provider to Emubox

To migrate e-mail addresses to a different web hosting account with Emubox, we recommend using an e-mail client such as Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple Mail. This allows you to export your e-mail messages and then import them again once the e-mail address has been moved to the new web hosting.

Outlook

Thunderbird

To export and import e-mails into Thunderbird, follow these instructions:

Exporting messages from Thunderbird

1. Select the desired messages.
2. In the “File” menu, click “Save As” and select the “File…” option.
3. Select the desired location for the export file and confirm the selection by clicking “Open”.

→ The selected messages are exported and saved as individual files in the selected folder.

Importing messages into Thunderbird

1. Select the desired mailbox and e-mail folder to be used for importing the files.
2. Open the folder with the saved messages.
3. Drag and drop the .eml files directly into the selected e-mail folder in Thunderbird.

→ The messages are imported and stored in the desired e-mail folder.
