Upload Website with FTP Program
You can access your server via File Manager or FTP to upload and download data of your website.
For this, you need a suitable FTP program on your computer. We recommend:
Download the desired FTP program and install it on your computer.
Establish Connection and Upload Data
To connect to your web hosting via FTP, create a new FTP account in the Plesk Control Panel.

FTP Server/Host Enter your domain in this field or, if it is still inactive, the IP address that you can find in the Plesk Control Panel under «Websites & Domains» > «Dashboard» > «Connection Info».
Example:
Domain: ftp.your-domain.ch
IP Address: 204.14.36.60Protocol FTP Encryption We recommend always using the option «Explicit FTP over TLS» (FTP-SSL) if your client allows it. Username Enter the FTP username. Password Enter the password for the FTP user. Port 21
After you have established the connection, you will see a list of all directories and files on the server. All folders of your website are located in the httpdocs folder (formerly public_html). If you have created a website entry for your domain in the Plesk Control Panel under «Websites & Domains», a subfolder for your website will automatically be created in the httpdocs folder. This is also called Document Root.
You can upload all data of your website to the Document Root of the website. When the domain is active, you can then access the uploaded website.
Upload Website Directly via Website Program
If you have created the website using a website program on your computer/Mac, and it offers its own FTP upload, you do not need any of the above-mentioned programs to publish your website. You can upload the website directly via your website program.
Use the connection settings mentioned above. Note that you will have a field for Remote Folder/Directory/Path. You must specify the Document Root for the website there.
So for example: /home/httpdocs
You can find the Document Root for the website to be uploaded in the Plesk Control Panel under the item «Files».
