How do I use password protection on my website?

To protect your website with a password, follow the steps below:

1.  Enable Password Protection

1. Log into your Control Panel and go to the «Websites & Domains» category.
   
   
2. For the website you want to protect with a password, click on «Password-Protected Directories».
   

   
   
   

3. Click on «+ Add Protected Directory».
   
   
4. Enter the «Directory name».
   → This is the path to the folder that contains the files you want to protect from access by third parties.
   

   
   
   

5. With «Create», you activate the password protection.

→ The password is the same as your web hosting panel control.

2.  Remove Password Protection

1. To remove the protection, simply select the corresponding entry and click «Remove Protection».
   

   
   
   

2. Click on «Yes, remove» to remove the protection.
