How do I change the domain of my WordPress website?

To move your WordPress website to another domain, proceed as follows:

1. Log in to the Plesk Control Panel.
   
   
2. Click on «Websites & Domains» and select the desired domain.
   
   
3. Note the Document Root that is set for the current WordPress website.
   → You can find the Document Root at the very bottom under «Website at». In this example, it is the default folder «httpdocs».
   

   
   
   

4. Now create a new website with the desired domain where the WordPress site should be accessible and enter the path you noted in the previous step in the Document Root.
   

   
   
   

5. Click on «Add Domain» to set up the website.
   
   
6. Ensure that the new domain points to Emubox (domain registered, assigned to hosting, nameservers set to Emubox).
   → You should now be able to access the website via both domains. If this is the case, proceed with the following steps.
   
   
7. Now log in to the WordPress Dashboard with your credentials and go to «Settings» > «General».
   → Here you will see the current domain listed twice.
   
   
8. Change the domain to the future domain that should be used and save it.
