In the Plesk Control Panel, you have the option to set up a forwarding for your domain. This means that visitors will be automatically redirected to the specified website when they enter your domain in the browser.
To set up a forwarding, proceed as follows:
- Log in to the Plesk Control Panel.
- In Websites & Domains, click on «Add Domain»:
- Click on «Blank website»:
- Select the required web space (subscription) in the «Webspace area» where the forwarding should be created:
- Enter the name of the forwarding domain in the «Registered domain name» section:
- Select «Forwarding» in the Hosting type: area:
- Enter the required destination address in the «Destination address» field to forward the visitors.
- Choose the type «Moved permanently (Code 301)» (changes the domain in the browser URL) or «Frame forwarding» (leaves the domain unchanged in the browser URL)
- Click on «Add Domain».
→ The forwarding has been set up. After about 5 – 10 minutes, the forwarding of the domain and all subdomains will be active, provided that the subdomains do not have their own records.
Note: The forwarding works only if our nameservers are registered with the domain and the domain points to an IP address with us. Otherwise, you will receive an error message due to an IP address conflict.
