What is the difference between the Emubox ID and hosting name?

You can log into the Emubox Control Panel using both the Emubox ID and the hosting name. However, the two logins differ in the available functions.

Login with Emubox ID

Your Emubox ID gives you access to all your products and services as well as administrative functions (contracts, invoices, contact details, etc.) in the Emubox Control Panel.

Your Emubox ID is tied to an e-mail address and looks something like this:

[email protected]

Hosting login

With the hosting login, you also have access to the Emubox Control Panel, but only to the data of the corresponding web hosting. In addition, the hosting login is valid for access via FTP or SSH.

The hosting name is six to eight characters in length (e.g. “yourown”) and can be found in your web hosting contract.
