Installing WordPress on your Plesk control panel is not difficult at all.
To install WordPress using the WP Toolkit, proceed as follows:
- Log in to the Plesk Control Panel.
- In the left menu, go to «WordPress» and click «Install»:
- Select the domain on which you want to install WordPress. If you manage multiple domains, be sure to select the correct one.

You can customize various options such as:
- Installation Directory: Leave the field empty to install WordPress in the root directory of the domain, or specify a subfolder.
- Website Title: Enter a title for your WordPress site.
- Admin Username: Choose a username for the administrator.
- Password: Choose a secure password.
- Email Address: Enter an email address for the administrator.
- Database: The WP Toolkit will automatically generate a database. You can keep the settings or customize them.
- After you have reviewed all the settings, click «Install» to start the installation.
→ The process may take a few minutes. Wait until the installation is complete. - A new installation will appear in the list of all existing WordPress installations under «WordPress».
Adding Existing WordPress Installations to WP Toolkit
All WordPress installations added via the WP Toolkit or the «Applications» page will automatically be displayed in WP Toolkit. If you have performed a manual installation, it must first be added to the toolkit. If you upgraded from an older Plesk version and have used WordPress, we recommend incorporating all existing WordPress installations into WP Toolkit.
Here's how to add WordPress installations to WP Toolkit:
- Go to «WordPress».
- Click «Scan».
The WordPress installation has been added and will now be displayed in the list of existing WordPress installations under «WordPress».
Installing WordPress Installations
With the «Website Migration» feature, you can migrate WordPress websites to Plesk that you own but are hosted elsewhere. When you migrate a WordPress website, all files and the database are copied to your server. Afterwards, you can manage them via the WP Toolkit.
To migrate an existing WordPress website, go to «Websites & Domains» > «WordPress» and click «Import». Then follow the instructions.
