How do I change my domain’s name servers?

The nameservers of your domain can be adjusted in the domain management section of the Emubox Client Area. However, this only applies to the nameservers of your main domain. For changes to subdomains, please contact our Support.

To adjust the nameservers, please follow these steps:

1. Log in to the Control Panel using your Emubox ID.
   
   
2. Navigate to the menu item «Services» > «Domains» and select the domain whose nameservers you would like to edit.
   
   
3. In the «Domain details» menu item, click on «Nameservers» to access the nameserver management.
   

   

   → On the right side in the corresponding section, you will see the nameservers currently configured for your domain.
   
   

4. - If Emubox nameservers are configured and you wish to use external nameservers, follow the steps under Use External Nameservers.
   - If external nameservers are configured and you wish to use the Emubox nameservers, follow the steps under Use Emubox Nameservers.

Use External Nameservers

1. Change the General Setting to «Custom».

   
   
   

2. Enter the names of the external nameservers (1 server per line).

3. Initiate the nameserver change by clicking on «Save Changes».
   → The nameservers will be changed.

Use Emubox Nameservers

1. Change the General Setting to «Our Nameservers» to overwrite the external nameservers.
   

   

   → The Emubox nameserver details will be displayed.
   
   
2. Initiate the nameserver change by clicking on «Save Changes».
   → The nameservers will be changed.
