How do I view my website without active domain?

As long as the nameservers for a domain have not been switched to us, you can access your website via a test domain.

Depending on whether you already operate an active domain in your web hosting account or not, the procedure is as follows:

You already operate an active domain in your Emubox account

Create a subdomain for your already active domain, e.g. «test.your-own-domain.ch».

1. For this, log in to the Plesk Control Panel.
   
   
2. Click on the blue button «Add Domain» under «Websites & Domains».
   
   
3. Select «Blank Website».
   

   
   
   

4. Then select «Temporary Domain Name».
   

   
   
   

5. Your temporary domain name will now be displayed.
   > It resembles frosty-bern.184.70.56.113.plesk.page.
   
   
6. Select the default setting with which you would like to use your new website.
   
   
7. Then click on «Add Domain» to create the new subdomain.

You do not have an active domain in your Emubox account yet

If you do not have an active domain with Emubox, you can use a test domain that is provided by us for this purpose.

In some hosting setups, this domain is already assigned.

If you cannot find the test domain in your Plesk Control Panel under «Websites & Domains», please contact our Support, who will gladly add it for you.
